Overview of molecular target information of IL3RA
Molecular name: IL3RA, Interleukin 3 receptor subunit alpha
Gene family: CD molecules; Interleukin receptors; Pseudoautosomal region 1
Alias: CD123
Full name: Interleukin 3 receptor, alpha (low affinity)
Review of molecular targets of IL3RA
CD123, the α-subunit of human interleukin -3 receptor (IL-3Rα), is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, a member of cytokine receptor superfamily, and CD131 (β-subunit of human interleukin -3 receptor) form a heterodimer to form interleukin -3 receptor. The α-subunit produces cytokine specificity and the β-subunit produces signal transduction function. It is expressed in monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils, megakaryocytes, erythrocyte precursors, mast cells, macrophages and some B cell subsets, and mediates the proliferation and differentiation of these cells, which is related to FLT3-ITD and/or NPM1 mutations in acute myeloid leukemia.
