Review of molecular targets of IL7R
CD127 (IL -7) is a glycoprotein involved in regulating lymphogenesis. The cell response to CD127 depends on the existence of interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7R). CD127 is composed of α chain and γ chain. γ(c) chain is also related to interleukin -2 receptor, which is mainly used to activate the signal transduction of IL-7R complex, while α chain of IL-7R determines specific signal events through its association with cytoplasmic signal molecules. CD127 promotes the proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitor cells and mature CD4+ and CD8+T cells. The biological effect of IL-7 is mediated by the binding of IL-7 to specific cell surface receptors.
