Review of molecular targets of MS4A1
CD20 is a phosphorylated protein molecule with a molecular weight of 33-37 kD, which is expressed in B lymphocytes and their precursors, but not in the earliest progenitor cells, but weakly expressed in follicular dendritic cells and a few T cells. It is mainly involved in regulating the proliferation and differentiation of B lymphocytes and plays an important role in the immune system. CD20 has been used as the target of immunotherapy for Hodgkin's lymphoma because of its expression characteristics on the surface of malignant B cells and no endocytosis when it binds to antibodies.
