CXCR5(C-X- chemokine receptor type 5, CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1(BLR1), belongs to CXC chemokine family. CXCR5 is the seventh transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor of chemokine BLC. CXCR5 gene is specifically expressed in Burkitt lymphoma and lymphoid tissues, such as follicles in lymph nodes and spleen. The study of CXCR5 shows that it plays an important role in B cell migration. CXCR5 is expressed in human blood and salivary glands, as well as in animal lymphatic organs, blood, bone marrow, brain, liver, lymph nodes, skin, spleen, stomach and tonsils.
