Overview of HAVCR2 molecular target information
Molecular name: havcr 2, hepatitis a virus cellular receptor 2.
Gene family: V-set domain containing
Alias: Tim-3; TIM3; FLJ14428; TIMD3; CD366
Full name: t-cell immune globulin mucin family member 3
Summary of HAVCR2 molecular targets
TIM3 (hepatitis A virus cell receptor 2, HAVCR2, T cell immunoglobulin) is composed of 281 amino acids, and is a type 1 Th1 specific cell surface glycoprotein, which expresses cells on terminally differentiated CD4+Th1 and CD8+Tc1. TIM3 consists of IgV-like domain, mucin-like domain in extracellular domain and conserved tyrosine phosphorylation motif in cytoplasmic domain. TIM3 participates in the activation of macrophages and the occurrence of autoimmune diseases. In addition, TIM3 mediates immune response and promotes immune tolerance.
