IDH1 gene mutations are somatic cell-specific and only occur in certain subtypes of glioma, which can serve as a basis for the subtyping of glioma genes. The R132H point mutation of the IDH1 gene can be found in approximately 70% of astrocytomas and oligodendrogliomas. In adult gliomas, patients with younger onset usually have IDH1 mutations and have a better prognosis.
The IDH1 antibody reagent can specifically bind to the IDH1 molecular antigen. The immunohistochemical kit containing the IDH1 antibody reagent is suitable for the precise diagnosis of IDH1-mutated gliomas (such as astrocytoma and oligodendroglioma) and acute myeloid leukemia.
