Inhibin is a heterodimeric glycoprotein hormone composed of α and β subunits, belonging to the transfer growth factor β (TGF-β) superfamily. It can inhibit the synthesis and secretion of pituitary gonadotropins. Inhibin and activin (a glycoprotein hormone composed of two β subunits) form an endocrine circuit. When inhibin decreases, When activin increases, the biosynthesis and secretion of FSH will also increase accordingly. This antibody is mainly used in the classification research of sex cord interstitial tumors.
