L1celladhesion molecule (L1 Cell Adhesion molecule, L1CAM), also known as CD171, is a superfamily of immunoglobulin molecules for celladhesion. L1CAM plays a crucial role in axon guidance and cell migration in the nervous system, and its mutation is prone to cause various neurological diseases. Studies have shown that L1CAM is on the rise in various primary or metastatic tumors such as glioblastoma, brain metastatic tumors, endometrioid adenocarcinoma, colorectal cancer, and lung cancer. It is a valuable diagnostic or prognostic marker and may also become a new target for cancer treatment.
The L1CAM antibody reagent can specifically bind to the L1CAM antigen. The immunohistochemical kit containing the L1CAM antibody reagent is suitable for the precise diagnosis of invasive tumors (such as endometrial cancer, glioma) and neurodevelopmental abnormalities (such as L1 syndrome).
