Myelin basic protein (MBP) is the main component of myelin structural proteins and is distributed in the central and peripheral nervous systems. The main markers are soft tissue tumors, acoustic neuromas, neurofibromas and neurosarcomas, but it shows a negative reaction in other spindle cell tumors, melanocytes and tumors of their origin.

MBP antibody reagents can specifically bind to MBP molecular antigens. Immunohistochemical kits containing MBP antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system.
