The MPO gene is located on chromosome 17, and acute promyelocytic leukemia (FAB type M3) is usually associated with translocation of this chromosome. MPO is homologous to human thyroid peroxidase. In the peripheral blood smear, granulocytes showed a strong positive reaction, monocytes showed a weak positive reaction, while other cells did not react. In the bone marrow smear, granulocytic cells are marked. This antibody can be used in the research of acute myeloid leukemia.

MPO antibody reagents can specifically bind to MPO molecular antigens. Immunohistochemical kits containing MPO antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia.
