NSE is mainly expressed in neuronal cells, certain neuroendocrine cells and their tumors, and shows diffuse cytoplasmic staining. This antibody can specifically recognize 45kD NSE, and can be used to assist in the diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors. Since smooth muscle, myoepithelial cells, renal tubular cells, lymphocytes, etc. can also express NSE, attention should be paid to it in the diagnosis.

NSE antibody reagents can specifically bind to NSE molecular antigens. Immunohistochemical kits containing NSE antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors (such as small cell lung cancer, neuroblastoma) and brain injuries (such as hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy).
