N-calcium adhesion protein is a 140 kDa Ca2+-dependent transmembrane glycoprotein that promotes and protects cell adhesion. It has been reported in the literature that N-calcium adhesion protein is expressed in a variety of normal tissues, such as neurons, endothelial cells, myocytes, and some early hematopoietic progenitors.N-calcium adhesion protein can also be expressed in non-epithelial malignant tumor tissues, which include malignant mesothelioma, synovial sarcoma, malignant melanoma, epithelioid sarcoma, epithelioid angiosarcoma, and clear-cell sarcoma.N-calcium adhesion protein was positively expressed in plasma tumors of the ovaries and in uterine endometrioid carcinomas were positively expressed and negatively expressed in ovarian mucinous tumors. Renal cell carcinoma, medullary carcinoma of the breast, and sarcomatoid carcinoma also express N-calmodulin. This antibody can be used as a marker to distinguish mesothelioma from adenocarcinoma.
N-cadherin antibody reagents can specifically bind to N-cadherin molecular antigens. Immunohistochemical kits containing N-cadherin antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of mesothelioma and adenocarcinoma.
