Plasma cells are terminal cells of B-lymphocyte differentiation and lack cell surface HLA-type I and II antigens, surface immunoglobulins, Fc and C3 receptors. This antibody labels normal and neoplastic plasma cells and is used primarily to differentiate myeloma from plasma cell tumors, and also to differentiate lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma from follicular lymphoma.

PC antibody reagents can specifically bind to PC molecular antigens. Immunohistochemical kits containing PC antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of multiple myeloma, plasmacytoma, lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma and follicular lymphoma.
