PIK3CA H1047R is one of the most common single nucleotide variants in cancer, especially breast cancer. More than half of PIK3CA mutant breast cancers contain this mutation. Analysis suggests that patients carrying this mutation may have worse overall survival, but from a prognostic standpoint, other studies have shown no difference between H1047R and other PIK3CA mutants.
