PNL2, a novel monoclonal antibody against melanocyte antigens, shows cytoplasmic staining in normal melanocytes and tumors of their origin, and is detected more positively than previous markers. Various degrees of positivity are seen in clear cell tumors, angiogenic smooth muscle lipomas, and lymphovascular smooth muscle tumors; and positive non-melanocytic lesion areas in perivascular epithelioid cell tumors and melanotic nerve sheath tumors. Used in combination with HMB45, MART-1, Tyrosinase and MiTF antibodies for the diagnosis of melanoma and clear cell sarcoma.

PNL2 antibody reagents can specifically bind to PNL2 molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing PNL2 antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of melanoma.
