SV40 (Simian virus 40) is a simian vesicular virus belonging to the Polyomavirus family, which is a tumorigenic virus found in both humans and monkeys. The large T antigen it expresses can interact with the P53 protein, leading to the loss of the latter's normal biological functions and triggering tumorigenesis. Research has shown that SV40 infection is closely associated with brain tumors, bone tumors, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and malignant mesothelioma.
SV-40 antibody reagents can specifically bind to SV-40 molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing SV-40 antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of SV-40 virus-associated tumors.
