TRAP is a highly active alkaline metal-binding protein that targets phosphorylated proteins, ATP, and 4-nitrophosphatase. It is distributed in human alveolar macrophages, osteoblasts, spleen, and liver, and its expression is elevated in the spleen and monocytes of Gauche patients, the nuclei of spleen cells and blood leukocytes of hairy cell leukemia patients, and the spleen of Hodgkin's disease patients.

TRAP antibody reagents can specifically bind to TRAP molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing TRAP antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of giant cell tumors of bone and osteoporosis.
