DNA topoisomerase IIα (Topo IIα) is a member of the topoisomerase family with a molecular weight of 170 kDa, playing a crucial role in DNA synthesis and cell division in normal cells. Its levels are positively correlated with the efficacy of anticancer drugs, making it a target for such drugs. Resistance mechanisms primarily arise through reduced intracellular Topo II levels, Topo II gene mutations, or point mutations in the ATP-binding site of Topo II. Drugs that are prone to developing resistance are topoisomerase inhibitors, and this antibody is primarily used for research into drug resistance in various tumor cells.
The TOP2A antibody reagent specifically binds to the TOP2A molecular antigen. The immunohistochemistry kit containing the TOP2A antibody reagent is suitable for assessing tumor proliferation activity (such as breast cancer and lymphoma) and predicting sensitivity to anthracycline drugs (such as doxorubicin).
