Adenomatous Polyposis Coli (APC) is an oncogene with chromosomal localization at 5q21-22, which has the function of regulating cell proliferation, migration, adhesion and chromosome stability. Mutations in APC cause accumulation of β-catenin in the nucleus, enhancement of the Wnt pathway and aberrant activation of downstream genes, loss of cytoskeletal regulation and abnormal cell proliferation, resulting in familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). 

APC antibody reagents bind specifically to APC molecular antigens, and immunohistochemistry kits containing APC antibody reagents are indicated for the precise diagnosis of familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP).
