Background Information

This gene is a member of the glycoprotein hormone β-chain family and encodes the β-subunit of luteinizing hormone (LH), located on chromosome 19q13.3. LH is expressed in the pituitary gland and promotes cyclical development and ovulation by stimulating the synthesis of steroids in the testes and ovaries. This antibody is primarily used in research on the functional classification of pituitary adenomas.

Clinical Value

β-LH antibody reagents can specifically bind to β-LH molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing β-LH antibody reagents are suitable for the classification of pituitary adenomas.
