Tubulin-β is a neuron-specific marker that is expressed in breast cancer and some malignant epithelial tumors. Studies have shown that Tubulin-β expression is also present in malignant non-neurological tumors with high tissue grade, and it has also been shown that Tubulin-β is a marker of cancer cell resistance to paclitaxel analogs.
