Thymidylate synthase is the rate-limiting enzyme for thymidylate synthesis and the target enzyme for 5-FU-based therapy.TS has low activity in normal tissues and significantly increased activity in a variety of tumor tissues. Currently, it is mostly used in the study of 5-FU resistance in malignant tumors of the digestive tract, head and neck, and breast cancer.

TS antibody reagents can specifically bind to TS molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing TS antibody reagents are suitable for assessing the sensitivity of tumors (such as colorectal cancer and gastric cancer) to 5-FU-class chemotherapeutic drugs.
