Fumarate hydratase (FH), also known as fumaric acid enzyme, is an essential enzyme in the tricarboxylic acid cycle that catalyzes the hydration of fumaric acid to L-malic acid, and is widely found in different cells. Mutations in the enzyme cause ficollate hydratase deficiency, progressive encephalopathy, and uterine fibroids, etc. Mutations in FH cause a variety of skin and uterine smooth muscle tumors (MCUL) and renal carcinoma (HLRCC)-associated mutation syndromes, among others.
FH antibody reagents can specifically bind to FH molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing FH antibody reagents are suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of skin and uterine leiomyomas (MCUL) and renal cell carcinoma (HLRCC).
