Principle: AFA fixative achieves rapid fixation through the synergistic effect of liquid A (ethanol-formaldehyde mixture) and liquid B (glacial acetic acid). Ethanol rapidly penetrates the tissue to denature and solidify the protein, formaldehyde stabilizes the protein structure through cross-linking, and glacial acetic acid enhances the penetration of the fixative and adjusts the pH value, and the synergistic effect of the three can complete the fixation of the tissue in a short time.
