The two fusion genes with the highest incidence in Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinoma are ASPSCR1-TFE3 and PRCC-TFE3;

The TFE3 fusion subtype, more often than not, exhibits nested or solid lamellar structures with no obvious papillary structures, sparse cell cytoplasm, and low nuclear grade accompanied by a small number of gritty bodies.

Tumors of undetermined differentiation and neoplastic lesions

Detect whether the TFE3 gene is fused to the partner gene PRCC.
