CD5 is distributed to most T cells and thymocytes in peripheral lymphoid tissues (95%), and is positively expressed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia of B-cell origin in most T-cell lymphomas, but does not react with other types of lymphomas (e.g., follicular lymphoma, hairy-cell leukemia, large-cell lymphoma, etc.), and this antibody is useful in classifying lymphomas.

CD5 Antibody Reagent binds specifically to CD5 molecular antigen, and Immunohistochemistry kits containing CD5 Antibody Reagent are suitable for classification of lymphomas.
