Gastric MALT lymphoma is a low-grade malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma characterized by low malignancy, clinical rarity, and high misdiagnosis rate;
The MALT gene mainly occurs with two translocations t(11;18)(q21;q21) and t(14;18)(q32;q21);
This probe is used to aid in the diagnosis of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALT) and correlates with the choice of HP chemotherapy regimen;
If t(11;18), t(14;18), and t(1;14) are present, treatment of the HP infection with antibiotics may not be effective, and other treatments should be considered for these patients. Involved field irradiation (IFRT) is preferred in patients with lesions invading the muscularis propria or lesions invading neighboring organs from the gastrointestinal tract (staging I E (T1 or T3) or II E HP negative), especially in the presence of these translocations.
