CD24 is a double-stranded glycosylphosphatidylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) glycoprotein that is expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, beginning with pre-B cells in the bone marrow and ending with a positive immunoglobulin B-cell surface in differentiated mature B cells. Plasma cells show minimal or no expression.CD24 can also be used as a marker for the B-cell lineage of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

CD24 Antibody Reagent binds specifically to the CD24 molecular antigen. Immunohistochemistry kits containing CD24 Antibody Reagent are indicated for the precise diagnosis of B-cell tumors (e.g., Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/CLL) and certain solid tumors (e.g., breast cancer, ovarian cancer).
