Fibroblastic-myofibroblastic tumors and neoplastic lesions
Mucoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcomas are rare tumors of low malignancy occurring in the extremities and are easily confused with benign tumors. It often grows locally invasively, has a high recurrence rate, and should be completely excised clinically.
The tumor has t(1;10)(p22-31;q24-25); some are subtriploid; some show TGFBR3-MGEA5 fusion gene.
The TGFBR3/MGEA5 fusion gene (t(1;10)) is also seen in Hemosiderotic fibrolipomatous tumour (Hemosiderotic hyalinizing fibrolipomatous tumor), Pleomorphic hyalinizing angiectatic tumor ) in.
Tumors of undetermined differentiation and tumorous lesions
Application to haemosiderotic fibrolipomatous tumors (haemosiderotic fibrolipomatous tumour);
Some tumors have t(1;10)(p22;q24) leading to fusion of TGFBR3 and MGEA5.
