TP53 abnormality has base mutation, protein expression, gene deletion and other abnormalities, which are closely related to the diagnosis and prognosis of many kinds of human malignant tumors. Its genetic translocation has also been newly found.

Osteosarcoma is the most common malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents. According to the literature, the positivity rate of TP53 translocation in osteosarcoma is 54% (20/37), and TP53 translocation abnormality is not seen in other sarcomas and benign bone tumors. Therefore, the specificity of TP53 translocation positivity for the diagnosis of osteosarcoma is very high, and the TP53 breakage probe can be used as a simple and practical auxiliary diagnostic target.
