MME Molecular Targets Overview
CD10 is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane protein. CD10 antigen is also known as common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen (CALLA), neutral endopeptidase (NEP), gp100, and enkephalinase. It is normally expressed on the surface of early B and T lymphoid precursors, neutrophils, and various epithelial cells.CD10 is also expressed in lymphoma cells such as acute lymphoblastoid cells and follicular germinal center lymphomas.CD10 is an endopeptidase involved in B-cell development and is a mediator of the inflammatory response of neutrophils.
