ITGAX Overview of molecular targets
CD11c, known as complement receptor 4 (CR4), is a member of the CD11/CD18 family of adhesion molecules, which belong to type I transmembrane glycoproteins and are highly expressed on the surface of myeloid DCs.CD11c serves as a positive regulator involved in the adhesion and migration of DCs, antigen recognition and presentation, and activation of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, regulating the occurrence of immune response and playing an important role in infection and anti-tumor immunity.
