Gene family: CD molecules; Scavenger receptors
Full name: CD14 antigen
CD14 Molecular Targets Overview
CD14 is a glycophosphatidylinositol-associated membrane protein involved in endotoxin binding and recognition of apoptotic cells. CD14 antibodies are used to study monocytes, dendritic cells, histiocytes, and blast cells in liver sinusoids.CD14 is used in conjunction with S100 and CD68 to study histiocytosis in lymph node proliferative diseases. Tumor cells are positive for CD14 in mononuclear cell leukemia and histiocytosis lymphoma.CD14 antibody can be used as a reference for diffuse large B-cell lymphomas as well as splenic marginal zone lymphomas, with the exception of other B-cell lymphomas.CD14 antibody can be used as a reference for diffuse large B-cell lymphomas and splenic marginal zone lymphomas.
