FCGR3B Molecular Targets Overview
CD16 is a glycosylated phosphatidylinositol anchor chain of cell membrane proteins, a component of the low affinity Fcγ receptor (FcγRIII). It consists of two isoforms, CD16a and CD16b, with slight structural differences.CD16 is expressed in NK cells (only in mature NK cells, not in NK precursors and naïve NK cells), some T lymphocytes, neutrophils, and macrophages.
