CD55 Molecular Targets Overview
CD55 is a 60-70kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored single-chain glycoprotein, also known as decay accelerating factor (DAF). It is expressed in hematopoietic cells, including erythrocytes and many non-hematopoietic cells.CD55 reduces the lysis efficiency of natural killer (NK) cells and induces T-cell signaling.CD55 has also been shown to interact with CD97 and binds to coxsackie and echoviruses.
