Background Information

CD147, also known as basigin, is a transmembrane glycoprotein with a relative molecular weight of 50-60 kDa and is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF), and proteins encoded by this gene have important roles in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression.CD147 is widely distributed in both hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic tissues, and its expression is increased in tumor cells, and it activates the production of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in adjacent fibroblasts. CD147 is widely distributed in hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic tissues and is expressed in tumor cells, and can activate adjacent fibroblasts to produce matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), which may be associated with tumor invasion and metastasis. This antibody can be used in the study of various diseases.

Clinical Value

The CD147 antibody reagent specifically binds to the CD147 molecular antigen. The immunohistochemistry kit containing the CD147 antibody reagent is suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of liver cancer, breast cancer, and glioma.
