E-Cadherin is an adhesion protein expressed in epithelial cells. It is expressed in glandular epithelium and in lung, gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas, and ovaries. It can be used to distinguish adenocarcinoma (+) from mesothelioma (-), ductal carcinoma of the breast (+) from lobular carcinoma of the breast (-), and is positive in some thyroid carcinomas. E-Cadherin expression is reduced or absent in breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer, often serving as a marker of poor prognosis. It is currently primarily used in studies of invasion and metastasis in various malignant tumor cells and is one of the important markers for tumor progression and prognosis.

E-Cadherin antibody reagents can specifically bind to E-Cadherin molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing E-Cadherin antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of breast cancer and gastric cancer.
