EMA is a group of glycoproteins widely distributed in various epithelial cells and tumors derived from them, and is a marker for many tumor tissues. Tumors with positive EMA expression include most cancers, mesotheliomas, synovial sarcomas, and epithelioid sarcomas, but it is rarely expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma, adrenal carcinoma, malignant lymphoma, melanoma, and soft tissue tumors.

EMA antibody reagents can specifically bind to EMA molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing EMA antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of mesothelioma, synovial sarcoma, and epithelioid sarcoma.
