Factor VIII-associated antigen is present in human vascular endothelial cells, megakaryocytes, and platelets. This antibody can be used in the diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors of vascular origin and is often negatively expressed in vascular epithelial cell tumors. Care should be taken to distinguish it from normal plasma and platelets because it is also present in these cells and must be positively colored at sites of hemorrhage or vascular injury.

Factor VIII antibody reagents can specifically bind to Factor VIII molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing Factor VIII antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of benign and malignant tumors of the vascular endothelium and angiosarcoma.
