Factor VIII is a beta globulin found in plasma and consists of two subunits. Factor VIII A is its catalytic subunit. Factor VIII A is a marker for dermal dendritic cells and reacts with tumors of these cellular origin. This antibody is used for histiocyte phenotypic labeling and has also been reported to label capillary hemangiomas and tumors of the central nervous system.

Factor XIII A antibody reagents can specifically bind to Factor XIII A molecular antigens. Immunohistochemistry kits containing Factor XIII A antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of congenital Factor XIII deficiency.
