Human placental prolactin (hPL) is believed to originate from the trophoblast of syncytes. Ultrastructural localization indicates that placental prolactin exists in these cells in the form of small and differently shaped cytoplasmic granules, and has different secretion mechanisms from various hormone sources such as human chorionic gonadotropin. The expression level of prolactin in the placenta gradually increases after pregnancy. It is commonly used in the research of choriocarcinoma, testicular cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer, etc.
hPL antibody reagents can specifically bind to hPL molecular antigens. Immunohistochemical kits containing hPL antibody reagents are suitable for the precise diagnosis of choriocarcinoma, testicular cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
