Bcl-6, also known as LAZ-3, is a member of the POZ/zinc finger (POK) family, which contains an N-terminal POZ structural domain and six C-terminal zinc finger motifs.Bcl-6 is a transcriptional regulator that plays an important role in the survival and differentiation of lymphocytes, myoblasts, androgenic germ cells, and keratinized cells. It is predominantly expressed in normal germinal center B cells and associated lymphomas. There are different levels of Bcl-6 expression in follicular lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and Burkitt lymphoma.
