Fibrohistiocytic Tumors and Neoplastic Lesions
Used as an aid in the diagnosis of ossifying fibromucinous tumors (OFMT), and also applied to the molecular detection of endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma.OFMT is a class of soft tissue tumors of undetermined origin, and although most of them are benign histologically and clinically, a small number of them show malignant morphologic features and local recurrence, but seldom metastasis.EP400-PHF1 fusion is a characteristic molecular abnormality of OFMT. In addition, in endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma, PHF1 can be fused with JAZF1, EPC1 and MEAF6, which is associated with the molecular typing of low-grade endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma. As an aside, we have developed FISH probes for YWHAE break, JAZF1 break, BCOR break, PHF1 break, etc., which are relevant to the diagnosis of high-grade and low-grade endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma.
Uterine mesenchymal tumors
In endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma, PHF1 can undergo fusion with JAZF1, EPC1, and MEAF6, which is associated with molecular typing of low-grade endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma.
